For the past four weeks, nobody, it seems, has talked about anything in London, England, except Allied intervention in Egypt. But, "The Times" was quick to point out that the figures of Czech arms delivered to Egypt, published in a sensational manner by the Ministry of Defense on November 11, 1956, were exactly the same as those disclosed in "The Times" on October 29, 1956. Selwyn Lloyd, the Foreign Secretary, has since been forced to admit that this is so. There seems no doubt that the government possessed full and detailed evidence of iron-curtain arms deliveries all through the summer, even during the period when the Labor Party was pressing the government to send more arms to Israel.
