This article presents the author's views on theatrical plays. Playwright, Sean O'Casey's autobiographical Pictures in the Hallway, adapted by theater person Paul Shyre, another youngster in the theatre. The material is ruggedly melodious, as is all of O'Casey's work, and the adapter has reduced some of the excesses which sometimes mar it. What is most interesting in this section of the autobiographical series is the insight it gives into the living sources from which O'Casey produced his first stirring plays, as well as the later Red Roses for Me.
