This article presents a brief information on the book "Guides to Straight Thinking," by Stuart Chase. This is not a dry text book on logic; Chase does not write that way. It is an up to date book about the semantic discipline, stressing the aspects of logic. Chase writes that semantics teaches people to watch their prejudices and to take exercise in other ways than jumping to conclusions. His analogies and metaphors are original. His illustrations remind of what one runs into every day. Chase has written many books that deal with man's basic problem, which is how to think straight about his land and his money and now his language and thought.
