It has been said of politician Henry Watterson that he could soar simultaneously into two or three towering rages and have choler enough left over for smoldering umbrage at several less inflammable irritants. As a writer of editorials his sigh was a hullabaloo, his whisper a horrible yell But as a politician, whether a candidate's champion, sponsor or volunteer Warwick. The book "Henry Watterson. Reconstructed Rebel," is not wholly the product of the exaggerated romancing with which we clothe our departed great. Its truth becomes reasonably clear to readers of Joseph Frazier Wall's sympathetic, painstaking and over-long, but readable biography of the Kentucky thunderbolter.
