The author cites the story of a film "Human Motivation" based on a boy and a girl. The article provides some facts on psychological impressions related to the human behavior in the context of the film. The subtle and shifting pattern of psychological reaction can be captured in a split second on the film, and an illuminating picture of personalities in action can be thus created. The author concedes that the film may document the intricate process of human behavior. The film does show the external symptoms of a neurosis and traces the conscious processes which unearth troublesome and repressed material.
