This article focuses on the political situation of the U.S. Washington is one state where U.S. Senator Adlai E. Stevenson should win. No other is so responsive to the issues the Democrats have emphasized for a decade public power, timber conservation, new electrochemical industries, and statehood for Alaska. Stevenson went over well with the Washington electorate on his recent visit. Stevenson also has Henry M. Jackson, a veteran of a dozen years in the House to campaign for him, to oust the opposition of Stevenson.
