The article comments on several books. The book "First Love, and Other Poems," by Edwin Rolfe testifies, with elegiac eloquence, to the author's devotion to the people of Spain, his memory of their heroes, whether native or volunteer. Another book "The Third Eyelid," by Frona Lane continues the promise of this house to present in its New Poetry Series interesting "First Collections" in compact form. As a matter of fact, Lane carries the compactness pretty far, relying, for effects of wryness and terseness, on omission of articles and considerable use of the imperative mood.
