The article comments on the terrorists' bomb which on Christmas night killed the militant Negro leader Harry T. Moore in Florida. On January 19 and 20, 200 delegates representing 100,000 members of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in fifteen Southern states met in Jacksonville and adopted a fighting declaration which may profoundly affect the future of the South. The fighting spirit of the delegates was an inspiring thing to see. As was to be expected, it was strongest in the young and the workers, but there were notable exceptions.
