This article presents chronology of atomic bomb. On July 16, 1945 first atomic bomb exploded in New Mexico test. On August 6, second atomic bomb exploded over Hiroshima, Japan. Its power was equivalent to 20,000 tons of TNT, with area of total destruction, a circle of two miles in diameter, 3.14 square miles. August 9, saw the third atomic bomb exploded over Nagasaki. On August 16, Smyth Report, an official account of the wartime development of the atomic bomb and methods of producing fissionable material was released.
