This article presents information on the notion of world-wide catholic expansion. The author opines that Vatican was well aware of the dominance of the U.S. diplomacy in Western Europe. The U.S. vision of fighting communism would serve positively for Vatican in furthering the ideology of Catholicism. Catholic action groups have worked a lot in furthering this ideology. As a result of which its success can be gauged by looking at Western Europe today--Italy, West Germany, Belgium, etc. are ruled by Catholic parties. The basic aim of Vatican was to install catholic governments in Western Europe and Latin America so that they could coordinate their activities and use them to further their aim of uniting all people under their authority.
