This article presents information on the meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, which is supposed to held at Philadelphia. The said association is 103 years old and the meeting is seen as the biggest annual event for scientists in the U.S. The meeting presented symposiums on difficulties being faced by science in the contemporary political world. Approximately 8 symposia on the above mentioned subject were presented which extended through two or three sessions. It is reported that many other sessions were devoted to the help science can offer in solving the world's problems, such as food resources and social change.
