This article presents information on three books. The books are: "G.B. Dealey of the Dallas News," by Ernest Sharpe; "Great Roundup. The Story of Texas and Southwestern Cowmen," by Lewis Nordyke; and "Sig Byrd's Houston," by Sigman Byrd. One of these books is about a publisher of almost legendary integrity; another is about a group of high and mighty cowmen; the third is about low life in the fabled city of Houston. All are readable, and in general worth reading, with a few reservations. Lewis Nordyke, well-known Texas newspaperman, has put into his book much of the history of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers' Association.
