This article presents information several books. The books includes "Soren Kierkegaard," by Johannes Hohlenberg; and "As It Happened," by Clement R. Attlee. The book "Soren Kierkegaard" is not a critical biography. Hohlenberg is too close to his material, and too sedulous in elucidating every line. There is not enough study of the parallelisms and analogies with other anti-positivist, anti-historicist leaders of Kierkegaard's day, from Spain to Russia. But the reader who wants a palpable sense of the man behind the confused, diffused, inspired, and half-articulate philosopher, should read this volume.
