The article focuses on two theatrical productions. The "Othello," cast reveals no exceptional players, they are almost all young, able, devoted and intelligent. The play is not so much about jealousy, it is the tragedy of the flaw within love as sheer desire. Because of this theme and the agonized violence of William Shakespeare's expression of it, Othello is a part very few actors have succeeded in portraying successfully. The play "Catch a Star" is a modest musical revue. It offers four or five entertaining numbers and some talented performers like Elaine Dunn as dancer, Helen Halpin as crooner, Pat Carroll as comic.
