The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization held a meeting last fall on food and population problem in the world. According to the author the problem of the food is due to two reasons. The first one being uneven food production and consumption distribution in the world. The second point is that food production must be increased beyond the population over a prolonged period. The author suggests that after the second World War food production has increased in countries being initially best fed. The article discusses this issue and suggests solution for this. One of the solution to this problem is that less developed countries need to speed up their rate of progress in agriculture and industry.
