The article discusses two books "Americans and Chinese, Two Ways of Life" by Francis L.K. Hsu and "North From Malaya," by William O. Douglas. One of these books discusses the status of Chinese sociologist in America and in China in relation to his family, to earning a living, to government and politics. In the other book, a highly individual American, now in process of becoming an outstanding authority on the politics of Asia, discusses nationalism, revolution, and tile foreign policy of the U.S.
