The article presents the comment of the author on recent film releases. The film "Forbidden Fruit," is directed by M. Verneuil. The film is a seriously intended picture with considerable relevance to human experience. It succeeds, not by any great originality of narrative or depth of penetration, but by a close, accurate and, sympathetic observation of mundane behavior. The story of the film is about a small-town doctor, trapped into a routine of bleak duty due to his position and by the authority of an executive wife and a bitterly protective mother, stumbles into a blazing passage of sex with a cafe girl during a professional trip to the city.
