75 Years Ago in "The Nation"

The articles published in the journal "Nation" 75 years ago. One of the articles refers to the cable owned in the U.S. According to the author, no cable can, in the present state of American industry, be made cheap enough to compete with those of English manufacture. In another article the author refers to the present state of things in Austria. According to him, nobody is satisfied with the present state of things except the Hungarians. Their success in getting all they want has stimulated the exertions of the Bohemiaxis and Croats, who demand the concession of autonomy also.
