Political warfare this year has one supreme objective destruction of the Third Reich. In 1944 the U.S. must deal the decisive blow to Germany, in the political as well as in the military field. To understand the processes which will carry Germany to final defeat and through the period of transition that will follow its surrender, one must be intimately acquainted with the internal situation of Germany, its economic problems, frontier issues, the prospects of labor, the strength of the political opposition, and other factors which will determine the course the country will pursue once the National Socialist regime is destroyed.
