This article presents a brief introduction on Spiro Agnew, governor of Maryland. Governor Agnew is not popular or respected in Maryland. He is, though less so than when he took office, and the allegiance has shifted perceptibly to the right. This has occurred, as the public has better know Agnew. Most Marylanders are by now aware of his limitations. He is a skilled administrator and organizer, but less than artful in the devices of politics. He keeps his own counsel approaches the affairs of his state with seriousness, even gravity. He is strong-minded and has been known to go against the advice of' his closest aides.
