The one point that must be kept in mind in discussing the latest developments in Korea and the crisis in the United Nations is that no solution is possible unless it accepts the inescapable necessity of recognizing the Peking government as the real government of China. It is because that point has been evaded, because the government of Chinese communist leader Mao Tse-tung has not been allowed to speak for China in the United Nations, that the present situation has developed; in order to put an end to it, an end that will not involve the whole world in a fantastic war, the initial error will have to be corrected.
