The article comments on the politics of the U.S. The Senatorial election figures in Ohio will have a meaning far beyond the gain or loss of a Senate seat by reason of Senator Robert A. Taft's role in his own party and in the political life of the nation. If Taft wins, he will remain a power in the GOP. If he wins with a large majority, he will have a lot to say in the Presidential-picking months of 1952. His defeat would also have wide consequences. For one thing, organized labor would become an even greater force in national politics, since it would have won its biggest battle against its Enemy No. 1.
