The article focuses on news related to the U.S. The affinity of the news journal Chicago Tribune for something resembling the Communist Party's line on Korea has been widely mentioned in Time, Life, the Washington Post, the New York Post, and on an NBC news program, among other places. The Tribune has attacked the U.S. President Harry S. Truman, step by step, for issuing an illegal declaration of war, for ignoring the U.S. Congress, for pressing for an extension of the draft, and generally for getting this country and Korea in a mess.
