This article presents information on various theatrical productions. For theater director Joshua Logan's "The Wisteria Trees", it is only fair to say that it is a good deal better, or at least a good deal less offensive, than one might reasonably have anticipated. No doubt that is in part because it is admirably acted by an excellent company which includes actor Waiter Abel and is headed by actress Helen Hayes-of whom it is perhaps enough to say that she is almost the only living American star who could fill such an assignment without ever seeming to be aware of the fact that "the star" is what she is.
