This article presents information on political conditions of the U.S. To the credit of the eighty-first of the U.S. Congress, it has undone one of the meanest acts of the Eightieth. It has taken the miserably inadequate, frustrating, and discriminatory displaced-persons law of 1948 and expanded it into a measure that at least restores the national self-respect. Meanwhile, the U.S. Supreme Court has been asked to expedite its hearing of a suit challenging the Georgia county-unit voting system.
