The Museum of Modern Art is holding until the first of December 1957 an exposition of German art of the twentieth century-paintings, sculpture and prints. Paintings and graphics of the German Expressionists can also be seen at the World House until November 2, 1957 and at the Grace Borgenicht Gallery until October 26, 1957. The exposition at the Museum of Modern Art starts with a North German group of the beginning of the century-with Paula Modersohn-Becker, Christian Rohlfs and Emit Nolde. The two Modersohn-Beclcers are heavy, wooden and sentimental Rohlfs, shown in a finger painting style in brown and white, is too badly represented to suggest what his qualities might be.
