This article presents information on the book "The Vanishing Hero," by Sean O'Faolain. This book, reportedly, is concerned with social psychology. It analyses the relationship between those who control the material power of the society and those who control the psychological power of the people is another matter. O'Faolain asks a question in this book: why are the heroes of modern literature not on the side of society? This question is referring to a subject of social consciousness and ruling concepts of a society. O'Faolain shows concern towards analyzing the causes of the disappearance of the social Hero from fiction, as being a complicated matter.
