This article presents a brief information on socio-political issues of the U.S. It is the strange belief of a handful of pacifists in New York City that the atom bomb and its continued testing and development are insane and immoral. Since this handful contains a few of die souls, who connect their beliefs with the action of their daily lives, they have for the past three years refused to participate in the annual civil defense mock atom-bomb air raid drill in New York. Vice President Richard M. Nixon has again demonstrated his remarkable talent for television soap opera. There were those who said that his famous performance from Los Angeles, California, on September 23, 1952, was merely the brilliant tour of a gifted amateur who, under great personal stress, rose to the occasion.
