This article presents information on various political, social and economic issues related to the U.S. George Brinton McClellan's investigation of racketeering in the labor movement is meeting with nearly universal approval and for obvious reasons. Flagrant breaches of trust have been disclosed. A less lovely cast of characters has not appeared in the spotlight of a Congressional inquiry for many seasons. The seven scientists who signed the report of the Study Group on Smoking and Health sponsored by the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the National Cancer Institute and the National Heart Institute conclude that cigarette smoking is beyond reasonable doubt, a cause of lung cancer.
