The article reviews three theatrical productions. "Measure for Measure," performed at the Phoenix Theatre, "The Hidden River" by directors Ruth Goetz and Augustus Goetz and "The Potting Shed," by director Graham Greene. "Measure for Measure" seems like a musical comedy book, the whole effect being mildly salty and pleasant. "The Hidden River" is a melodrama based on a novel by author Storm Jameson. "The Potting Shed" is constructed as a mystery thriller in which a psychological secret is at the bottom of a man's incapacity to feel or to love.
