This article provides brief information on the play "Auntie Mame," written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, based on the novel by Patrick Dennis, is a series of blackouts or revue sketches in the spirit of New Yorker cartoons. It deals with an eccentric lady whose dizzy and slightly dazzling career is of little usefulness except for the amusing anecdotes her personality provides. Several of these sketches are funny and the show as a whole-with ingenious sets by Oliver Smith, is well produced, most of the casting being highly expert in its choice of types.
