Producer and star of a television program "Ding Dong School," is Dr. Frances Horwich. Twenty-five years ago she was a first grade teacher in Evanston, Illinois. Her educational career was not unusual for an energetic, intelligent person with an enthusiasm for teaching; Her show is a success because she is a good teacher--and a bit of a barn. Either quality alone would not be significant or unusual, combined they are both. "Ding Dong School," is carefully constructed on sound educational principles with a decent respect for its young audience and it is skillfully and entertainingly executed.
