The article discusses U.S. economy. Some of the most penetrating analyses of the economic health of America are to be found in the unpublicized reports of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission dealing with the growing concentration of economic power. The 1947 report, however, fell on the deaf ears of the "do nothing" Eightieth U.S. Congress. The one published in 1954 seems destined to be similarly ignored. The Anti-Trust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice has its own methods of dealing with the problem of "monopoly."
