The article presents recent developments related to national economy, politics and military strategies of various countries during the World War II period. The U.S. plan to occupy southern Okinawa has been delayed by a bitter Japanese resistance and thus prevented its full exploitation, in the aerial blockade of the Japanese islands. Reports of a revolt in sinking have called attention again to one of the chief stumbling-blocks in relations between Russia and China. It will be recalled that a Chinese coup defeat in this remote area three years ago caused Russia to terminate all its trade with the region and withdraw all its machinery and productive equipment. Sixty million jobs has become a slogan in the U.S. which symbolizes new hope for a secure nation after the war, a fighting phrase to tally liberals everywhere against reactionary attempts to hold back the clock.
