The Shape of Things

The article presents news related to politics and government as of September 09, 1944. The Nazi debacle in East Germany is almost complete with only Hungary, headed now by the fascist puppet, General Imre Lakatos. Poland Prime Minister Stanislaw Mikolajczyk has declared his willingness to set up at Warsaw, Poland immediately after its liberation, a democratic coalition government which would include representatives from the pro-Soviet Polish Workers Party. The Yugoslav government in London has made public the agreement between Premier Ivan Subasich and Marshal Tito, signed on June 16 on liberated Yugoslav soil. The agreement calls for a government which will include persons who have not compromised themselves in the struggle against the National Liberation Movement.
