The article focuses on the state of universities and colleges in Poland. The article says that after occupying Poland, the Nazis murdered or jailed the Polish intellectuals and closed all the universities and secondary schools. A few schools were allowed to remain open to prepare skilled slave workers. When the Red Army entered Lublin three months ago the small Catholic University there immediately reopened with the assistance of the Polish Committee of Liberation. Since this university teaches only divinity, law and the humanities, the Committee, decided to open a state university with faculties of medicine, animal diseases, pharmacy, science, and agriculture. However, the universities are in dire need of books and equipments.
