The article emphasizes on work done by Charles Thompson, a reporter in WJXT television station in Florida. He was given his first assignment on pollution. He prepared series of explosive documentaries, interviews and news stories that named names, displayed proof and aroused public support. WJXT had made a name for itself as north Florida's most aggressive news medium. Thompson through his works also aroused indignant polluters and well stung politicians which produced bomb threats against Thompson's life.
