In the foreign service, a diplomat is defined as one who hastens to the aid of the victor. National health insurance will be a political issue in some of the 1970 Congressional campaigns, and will eventually become the subject of Congressional action. Already, a number of diplomats are running to its assistance at least seven national health insurance bills are in the process of being introduced into the Congress. National health insurance has a long history in Europe, and the evidence of its success there should he an overwhelming argument for its adoption in the U.S.
