This article focuses on the socio-political conditions of the U.S. U.S. President Richard Nixon, has skillfully redefined the issue of Vietnamese Conflict. But the success of the maneuver has largely depended on the consistent cooperation of the loyal opposition, which has given him a degree of support it did not accord his Democratic predecessor. The 50 per cent hike in subway and bus fares in New York City-from 20c to 30c--is an outrage which surpasses the routine abuses to which the inhabitants of great cities are subjected. The pay-and-benefits package which the transit workers received is not excessive, what with inflation and the fact that their jobs are among the most important, and the most disagreeable, in the city.
