This article reports on the ending shortage of water in New York. New York City's worst water shortage in this century has ended. The author does not find this speedy recovery surprising. He says that it has been repeated eight times previously in New York since 1900. Every few years the city suddenly finds itself nearly out of water. The mayor personally opens a massive conservation program which the New Yorkers are forbidden to wash their cars, fountains are turned off, mail is stamped of saving water. The study was made on this continuous shortage of water.
