Strike Insurance

The subject of strike insurance and its effect on collective bargaining process is considered in this article. It refers to various acts to provide machinery for the settlement of labor disputes through mediation, fact-finding and voluntary arbitration. It discusses suspension insurance arrangement intended to provide self-help in the event of work stoppages as referred to by the American Newspapers Publishers' Association. It refers to unions confronted with strike insurances and indemnities and conditions of payments. The role of strike insurance in the demise of the newspaper "Brooklyn Eagle" has been examined. The article also discusses strike insurance acts related to railways and airline and aids from other unions of the striking union.
