The article presents a list of books recommended as furnishing background information on China, the Vietnamese war and the problems of Southeast Asia. Some of the books are "Peace in Vietnam: A New Approach in Southeast Asia," by the members of the Vietnam Working Party of the American Friends Service Committee, "Vietnam: Inside Story of the Guerilla War," by Wilfred G. Burchett, which is an account of warfare in South Vietnam, written from the point of view of the National Liberation Front. It contains unique data on the organization of the Vietcong. "The Chinese View of Their Place in the World," by C.P. FitzGerald, outlines China's past and present drives to world leadership.
