The article presents an open letter from E.G.Shinner, a banker to John T. Flynn, a radio presenter and spokesman of business matters on American economy. Shinner pointed out that the knowledge of Flynn is totally wrong and misleading because he reported that unemployment rate is highest during the reign of the U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Shinner stated that the national income rose from thirty nine billion dollars to seventy-two billions. Shinner justifies the levying of heavy income taxes on the people of America by saying that it has a salutary effect on the economy of the United States.
