The article focuses on George Macaulay Trevelyan, the distinguished British historian, and his famous writings. As his middle name indicates, history was in his blood; his father, uncle, and his grandfather were also distinguished historians of their times. Thus it was no wonder that when G.M. Trevelyan's first book, "England in the Age of Wychffe," was reviewed by the "Times Literary Supplement," the anonymous reviewer was impelled to quote the French saying, "Bon chien chasse de race." Trinity College, Cambridge, England, where he received his university education, had been his father's college as well as Bernard Russel and G. E Moore were his contemporaries there.
