The article presents a post-election analysis of the 1962's midterm congressional elections in the U.S. Despite the claims of the Democratic Party that the results marked a signal victory for the U.S. President John F. Kennedy and his program, the "fact is that the U.S. Congressional mixture remains much as before and the Administration again faces a predominantly hostile Congress. President Kennedy appealed for support by asking for the election of more Democrats to the U.S. Congress; but, as various commentators have pointed out, Democrats were responsible for doing in the President's legislative program in the first place. Although the Congressional, elections gave Republican Party leaders little to cheer about, coalition spokesmen are undismayed.
