The article presents information on the political conditions of Guatemala. Guatemala is undoubtedly one of the few free countries of Latin America. And for the first time in its history it is enjoying the benefits of social security, labor legislation and planned education drives. If enactment of the labor and social security legislation met with many obstacles, the opposition to an agrarian reform law that strikes effectively at feudal ownership and capitalist exploitation of land can be imagined. Order reigns in Guatemala and the democratic forces are making progress in their struggle against feudal conditions.
