Nelson A. Rockefeller, governor of New York State and Robert F. Kennedy are admirable public men with a high sense of public responsibility. They have it in their power to exert the leadership and influence to avert the undermining of public confidence in the U.S. political system. They are strong personal political, tribal and corporate sources of support. It is the time for all good men to come not merely to the aid of their party but to help salvage the political system and a measure of national self-respect.
