Translating Cesar Vallejo

This article presents information on the difficulties being faced by the author while translating César Vallejo's popular sonnet "Intensidad Y Altura," which was translated into English as "Intensity & Height." The most apparent difficulty being faced by the author was in handling the end words of octets. The author also found it very difficult to translate those Spanish words which would end up as slangs if are translated to English. César Vallejo was one of the greatest figures in Latin American poetry.
