In this article, the author presents information on the Buddhism architectural pattern and historical importance of the so-called desolate city Pagan. The author reports that this city, situated in the middle Burma, is well known for its history in Buddhism establishment and architecture. The city has had nearly a thousand of the most tremendous pagodas. Some of the pagodas are bell-shaped, like those in Sri Lanka, raised on enormous bases above the ground. Some are pumpkin-like towers like those in Thailand and Cambodia. It is suggestively the architecture that give the temples of Pagan a identity of peace.
