This article focuses on the research project underwritten by a New Yorker, which seeks to prove that the Negro race is genetically inferior and that American Negroes ought to be repatriated to Africa. The underwriter of the project, Wycliffe Draper, who some time ago decided to prove that those now living in the U.S. would be better off in the U.S., where presumably they would be under the tender care of the South African police. When he failed to get the support for his theories from several respectable geneticists, he decided, three years ago, to appoint two committees which might be capable of finding researchers more sympathetic to his ideas.
